Dr. Adedeji M. Olugboja is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology at Trine University, within the Allen School of Engineering and Computing. His teaching and research bridge the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Health Informatics, and Applied Computing, emphasizing real-world applications of AI for social and healthcare innovation.

Before joining Trine University, Dr. Olugboja served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Economics at the School of Business and Information Systems, York College, City University of New York (CUNY). At York, he led research and curriculum initiatives in AI-driven healthcare analytics, data ethics, and digital transformation in higher education.

Dr. Olugboja holds a Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of South Africa. Before entering academia, he gained extensive professional experience as a Database Administrator, Data Manager, and Principal Data Processing Officer, where he developed a deep understanding of data systems and enterprise analytics.

His research lies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and healthcare analytics, focusing on image classification, predictive modeling, federated learning, and intelligent diagnostic systems. His recent work explores AI-driven healthcare innovations that enhance disease detection, risk prediction, and patient outcomes through ethical and explainable AI frameworks.

Dr. Olugboja has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, advancing the integration of machine learning and deep learning in biomedical and health informatics. Beyond research, he is passionate about student mentorship and AI-focused program development, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration that connects data science, business analytics, and healthcare technology.
